A total of 1.272 million
people took part in Tuesday’s nationwide protests in France to
demonstrate against plans to reform the country’s pension
system, the French Interior Ministry said in a statement.
The ministry added that 87,000 people had taken part in the
demonstration in Paris.
This compares with 1.12 million people nationwide, including
80,000 in Paris, at the first nationwide demonstration against
pension reform on Jan. 19.
