New Russian law would strip acquired citizenship

Proposed amendments to Russia’s citizenship law would allow for the stripping of acquired citizenship for treason and discrediting the military operation in Ukraine.
The RIA news agency quoted Konstantin Zatulin, first deputy chairman of the parliamentary committee on Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) affairs,the amendments on stripping the citizenship of those who have acquired it relate to “treason, discrediting the special military operation.”
The proposed amendments have been submitted to the committee.
