4 Israelis arrested for suspected smuggling explosives

Israel’s Shin Bet security service said on Thursday that four Israelis were arrested on suspicion of smuggling into the country explosive devices from the Hezbollah group.
According to a press release issued by the agency, “the smuggling ring” included three Arab citizens of Israel from the town of Kafr Qasim and another from the city of Lod near Tel Aviv. They were arrested in July following an investigation.
The four are suspected of establishing a group to smuggle “Iran-made explosives,” which were handed to them by the Iranian-backed Hezbollah, said the statement.
They used the product to prepare explosive devices and planned to use them for criminal activities and attacks against Israel, according to the Shin Bet.
