Poland eyes almost 18.5 bln euros in EU pandemic recovery funds in 2024

Poland expects to receive European Union (EU) pandemic recovery funds of nearly 18.5 billion euros ($20.46 billion) in 2024 from three payment applications, PAP news agency reported citing Poland’s Ministry of Development Funds and Regional Policy.
The ministry expects Poland to receive a total of about 6.9 billion euros in subsidies and loans in April 2024, followed by payments of around 6.3 billion euros and 5.2 billion euros in the fourth quarter of the year, PAP cited the ministry as saying.
Warsaw also plans to file fourth and fifth applications for andemic recovery funds in the second half of the year, PAP reported, as a result of which it would expect to receive approximately 5.6 billion euros and 7.1 billion euros in the first half of 2025.
