Chinese foreign ministry delegation arrived in Pyongyang on Thursday

A Chinese delegation led by Vice Foreign Minister Sun Weidong arrived in Pyongyang on Thursday, North Korean state media KCNA reported on Friday.
The report said the delegation reached Pyongyang after passing through the city of Sinuiju but did not give further details.
The North’s state media said in December that a North Korean diplomatic delegation was visiting China for talks on strengthening cooperation.
The move last month came as Pyongyang was opening its borders and resuming trade with its neighbours after the COVID-19 pandemic.
North Korean Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs Pak Myong Ho and counterpart Sun discussed boosting strategic cooperation and bilateral relations, KCNA said at that time.
