The Kai Tak Sports Park stated that it has implemented numerous carbon reduction measures throughout its design, construction, and operations, actively promoting a “plastic-free” culture.
Large waste sorting and recycling bins are located inside and outside the sports park and are readily available during major events. Biodegradable paper cups used on site are then converted into nutrients for flower gardens, reducing the additional resources and carbon emissions associated with waste disposal, transportation, and container cleaning.
