3 killed, 94 injured in train accident in NW Egypt

Three people were killed and 94 others injured after a train derailed in Egypt’s northwestern Matrouh governorate, the Health Ministry said Saturday.
The injured were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment, said the ministry.
According to the National Railways Authority, seven carriages of the train, which was traveling from Marsa Matrouh to Cairo, derailed, with two overturning. Technical teams and equipment were dispatched to clear the wreckage and restore service.
A technical committee will investigate the cause of the accident, the authority added.
