Indonesia's central bank governor resigns for personal reasons

Bank Indonesia Governor Perry Warjiyo has resigned for “personal reasons”.
Acting Bank Indonesia Governor Destry Damayanti said the central bank’s operations would continue without disruption to maintain the stability of the rupiah, payment systems and the financial system.
“Bank Indonesia will ensure the continuity of its duties and authority by upholding good governance and maintaining coordination with the government,”.
Destry said the process of selecting a new governor would be carried out promptly in accordance with procedures stipulated by law.
