HKSAR Government announces appointments in medical and health care

The government announced three important appointments related to medical and health care.
The first is that Chief Executive John Lee accepted the recommendation of the Hospital Authority and appointed Li Xiayin as Chief Executive of Hospital Authority from next month for a term of three years, and accepted Li Xiayin’s resignation as Deputy Secretary for Health and Health; the second is that Dr. Fan Yuen-man, Consultant in Family Medicine of the Department of Health, was appointed to take over as Deputy Secretary for Health and Health from the 14th of this month, replacing Li Xiayin’s work; the third is that the current Chairman of Hospital Authority, Mr. Fan Hongling, was reappointed for a term of one year, effective from December 1st.
