Altogether 22 high school students staying at a hotel in Sakai city of Japan’s Osaka were taken to the hospital after experiencing symptoms such as vomiting following dinner, local media reported.
The emergency services received a call shortly after 11 p.m. on Sunday from a high school teacher reporting that several students were vomiting at a hotel, national broadcaster NHK reported.
According to local fire authorities, the students had been in Osaka to participate in a soccer event and fell ill after having dinner at the hotel.
